A
victim of horrific sexual abuse at the hands of a paedophile ring
involving Catholic clergy in Ballarat has told how he was assigned a
number and a locker number, instead of a name, and that nuns used to
pull out his teeth with pliers.
Speaking
at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual
Abuse, Gordon Hill, 72, described how he was sexually and physically
abused at Ballarat's St Joseph's Home in what he called 'horror rooms'
and 'dungeons', and did not know his own surname until he was 10 years
old.
