All I could think of while listening is "this is
the same as what Ann has said - it's all the same: The nuns horrific
beatings and perverse attitudes to children, the abusive priests. I hope
in a way that you haven't been listening as it must be absolutely
horrendous to have to hear such things again. But I see you triumphing
slowly but surely: You can be very proud of yourself for helping to
reveal the horrors that occurred.
You were one of the pioneers to all this - without people like you none

the hands of the priests and nuns who ran the institution from claims
of being raped by a broom handle to being forced to drink their own
urine.
The
Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse in
Rockhampton has also heard a woman was gang raped by employees and then
had a child at 14 years of age.
