Children at residential homes run by Catholic nuns were forced to eat their own vomit, an inquiry has been told.
Youngsters who wet their beds were forced to wear soiled sheets on their heads while others were threatened with being sent to a “hospital for the insane”. The treatment they endured is a key concern of the inquiry being heard in Banbridge, Co Down.
